Contract Opportunity: Senior Data Processor / Offline Surveyor
Offshore | Baltic Sea Region
Initial 3 month contract with a view to extend
We are currently supporting a significant offshore wind development and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Processor / Offline Surveyor to join the Survey team on a contract basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise on a high impact, trenching focused subsea project involving a new generation trencher system across Inter-Array and Export Cable routes.
Role Purpose
As a Senior Data Processor/Offline Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing, processing, and validating geospatial and geophysical survey data acquired during trenching operations. Your work will directly support offshore decision making, operational planning and technical reporting to ensure alignment with project and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Tasks:
- Process and manage offshore survey data including bathymetry, positioning, and geophysical datasets.
- Perform QA/QC on raw and processed data in line with project and industry standards.
- Analyse datasets using specialist software (e.g., Eiva NaviEdit/NaviModel, QINSy, Caris).
- Generate clear, accurate deliverables such as trenching progress charts, DTMs, cable route maps, and as-built reports.
- Liaise with onboard survey teams, engineers, and reporting leads to ensure alignment of data workflows.
Secondary Tasks:
- Support equipment calibration and data acquisition setup during project mobilisation phases.
- Assist in troubleshooting data inconsistencies or processing issues.
- Maintain well-structured data logs and processing documentation for auditing and handover.
Requirements
Technical Profile:
- Significant years' experience as a Data Processor or Offline Surveyor in offshore trenching, cable lay, or subsea operations.
- Demonstrated experience with bathymetric and geophysical data handling.
- Proficient with relevant survey software and tools.
Non-Technical Profile:
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Proactive, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Competent in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics, Hydrography, Geospatial Science, or related field.
- Valid certifications including:
- Full GWO
- VCA
- BOSIET
- HUET
- Chester Step Test
Language:
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Additional languages are a strong advantage.

- Applicants must have the right to work in the EU without the need for visa sponsorship, as this project does not support permit or visa processing.
