A dynamic professional services firm with multinational operations is seeking a Director of Global IT to lead and oversee technology management across all businesses, regions, and functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this strategic leadership role ensures that business unit leaders receive effective and timely guidance in implementing technology strategies, managing IT resources, overseeing IT operations, and ensuring cybersecurity resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Innovation

• Collaborate with senior management to design and execute technology strategies aligned with business objectives.


• Identify opportunities for leveraging technology to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and maintain a competitive edge.

IT Operations & Infrastructure Management

• Oversee IT resources, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, software, data storage, and networking infrastructure.


• Ensure the efficiency, security, and scalability of IT operations, including cloud-based SaaS products and M365 environments.


• Supervise IT service providers and internal technical teams.


• Monitor system performance and swiftly resolve technical challenges.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Assume the role of Chief Information Security Officer, ensuring robust security measures are in place.


• Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices to mitigate risks and protect data integrity.


• Ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations on data security and resilience.


• Support compliance teams in IT-related audit processes.

Project & Budget Management

• Lead technology-related projects, including software implementations and infrastructure upgrades.


• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations effectively.

Leadership & Team Development

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to IT teams.


• Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring teams stay updated with the latest industry developments.


• Set technology goals and ensure alignment with overall business strategy.

Emerging Technology & Industry Trends

• Stay ahead of emerging trends, tools, and best practices in IT and cybersecurity.


• Make data-driven decisions to enhance the organization’s technology landscape.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s in Information Systems is preferred.


• Experience: 8-10 years in IT operations, technology supervision, and project management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.


• Multinational Experience: Strong understanding of managing technology across multiple countries, recognizing cultural and regulatory differences.

• Technical Expertise:


• Hands-on experience with cloud-based environments, SaaS products, and M365.


• Strong knowledge of network security, data governance, and IT infrastructure.


• Familiarity with security protocols and compliance frameworks.


• Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional projects, and communicate effectively across the organization.


• Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: Capacity to develop long-term technology strategies, anticipate challenges, and implement innovative solutions.


• Industry Background: Prior experience in captive insurance or alternative risk industries is advantageous but not required
