The Role



We are seeking an experienced Hardware System Architect to lead the design and development of advanced hardware platforms for secure communications and high-performance embedded systems. This role requires strong system-level architecture expertise and the ability to drive complex programs from concept through validation and production.



Key Responsibilities



  • Define and lead end-to-end hardware architecture for complex multi-board embedded systems
  • Select and integrate FPGA, DSP, microprocessors, memory, and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, SERDES, DDR)
  • Design and review mixed-signal hardware (analog and high/low-speed digital)
  • Architect power tree design and system control logic
  • Oversee signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) simulations
  • Lead schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and hardware bring-up
  • Conduct validation, verification, EMI/EMC, and environmental testing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with software, FPGA, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
  • Support manufacturing, test development, and lifecycle management
  • Drive innovation in FPGA, DSP, and processor technologies


Requirements



  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering (PhD advantageous)
  • 8–12+ years of hardware system design and architecture experience
  • Strong background in FPGA/DSP/microprocessor-based platforms
  • Expertise in high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, SERDES, DDR)
  • Experience with SI/PI simulation tools
  • Proven mixed-signal board design and hardware validation experience
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance standards
  • Experience in telecom, secure communications, defense, or high-reliability environments preferred
