Senior Mechanical Engineer – Secure Communications & SATCOM

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design, thermal validation, and ruggedization of advanced secure communication and SATCOM systems.

This senior role focuses on delivering defense-grade hardware platforms capable of operating in extreme environmental conditions while ensuring manufacturability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead 2D/3D mechanical design using SolidWorks
• Perform thermal and structural simulations (ANSYS, Flowtherm, or equivalent)
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 standards
• Oversee environmental and vibration testing
• Drive design for manufacturability and cost optimization
• Collaborate with RF, electronics, and system engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in defense, aerospace, SATCOM, or RF hardware
• Strong expertise in SolidWorks and simulation tools
• Experience with ruggedized system design and environmental qualification
• Knowledge of EMI shielding, materials, and precision machining
