UK / Europe

• Pure Data Centres Group  committed €1.5bn ($1.7bn) for Phase 1 of an AI campus in Seinäjoki, Finland — with potential expansion to a €7.5bn ($8.6bn), 550MW+ campus. It's the largest data centre investment by a UK company in Finland.
• Bitdeer announced a $4.7bn, 16-year AI/HPC data centre lease for its Tydal, Norway campus (reported early August).

APAC

• NTT Data (Japan's biggest operator) plans to spend at least $9bn through 2033 to quadruple its computing capacity to 1GW, adding roughly 750MW over the next seven years to meet AI demand.
• AWS is expanding its Hyderabad, India operations as part of a $48bn country investment plan, including $21bn earmarked for cloud and AI infrastructure from 2026–2030.

Middle East

• Saudi Arabia's data centre sector has drawn $4.26bn in investment under Vision 2030, targeting 1.8GW of data centre capacity by 2030 (reported ~3 weeks ago); operational data centres in the Kingdom have now passed 60.

• Data center demand exceeds expectations as H1 2026 absorption hits record 25 GW .JLL’s North America Data Center Report reveals unprecedented growth driven by hyperscalers, neoclouds and AI companies, while community acceptance remains challenging
• OpenAI's Project Camellia — a 1,400-acre, four-building AI data centre campus in Effingham County, Georgia — represents a $20–30bn investment, backed by a 25-year, 3.2GW power agreement with Georgia Power.
